About Us
Ruen Pair means
“House on the River” as many houses in Thailand are built over the
rivers which run throughout the country. Family tradition is the heart
of our cooking. Ruen Pair has been family owned and operated since the
beginning. Your waitress may be the daughter and the chef may be the
father. We wish for you to try the rich variety of dishes we have to
offer as we bring the cooking heritage of Thailand to you.
Thailand is one of very few countries which has been able to preserve
its cultural identity throughout the ages. Buddhism is the national
religion practiced by over ninety-five percent of the people of
Thailand. His Majesty the King and the monarchy are highly revered
and are an important part of Thai history. This strong belief in
Buddhism and the respect the people have for their King is what
has helped preserved the culture and uniqueness of Thailand.
We have brought over many art treasures and have put them on display
so that you too may see and experience first hand the craftsmanship
and splendor this culture-rich country has to offer. Every piece
of art displayed has a small story to tell about the history and
culture of Thailand. Please feel free to explore the many different
areas and take a passage through the “Land of Smiles”.
We welcome you into our home and we wish you to become part of
our family.
